  • “The course was really empowering, it helped me understand myself a lot better coming from trauma, i was in a place where i didn't know how to get my feelings out or be able to speak about them and understand them. it created a platform for me where i could communicate with like-minded women in a safe space; when normally we wouldn't be able to. one-to-one therapy can be quite overwhelming and daunting which for me was the biggest struggle so being in a group with women who are friends and show compassion and care for one another was really crucial for my growth.”

  • It's important that people are able to connect. The good thing is we're able to learn from each other, share things, learn new techniques to manage when things aren't so good; on a really bad day. It's very important that everything you see on the television or social media doesn't necessarily have to be broadcasted. Privacy and confidentiality is so important. Also having empathy and understanding as well. My main thoughts on this programme is that it is completely different to other programmes that i've been on for the last 2 to three years! There's no need to have a facade. You can go away and have a think about what you've learnt each week.

“I was going through a lot. I wasn’t myself. I wasn’t thinking about myself, nevermind others! Be Noble happened to turn up. I thought ‘ok, interesting. Let’s see what I can find out here’ I’ve learnt so much! Me and Rebecca have connected on so many things it’s scary. There’s times I’ve written things down and she will give me a piece of paper with a heading similar to what I’ve wrote down and I’ve thought how did she know that? The course was really empowering. Rebecca got me in touch with a councillor.”

“I would encourage other people to do it (Be Noble Workshop). You become more respectful, helpful. Reading the documents, you can see what’s improved reading the documents out, so it’s actually encouraging me more!”

“For me, I feel that the course was really empowering. This woman has made me go to places in my life that I thought I’d buried well, but I’ve truly spoken about them. She made me understand why it happened and taught me how to try and cope with the trauma. Listening to other people and their stories, sometimes you think you’re the only one, but sometimes you can connect with certain people. I come here every Wednesday and I get my hugs. I look forward to my hugs in this group. It’s like my shield. Thanks to Rebecca, I notice my trigger signs.”
